Founders' story

Sophie, Dr. Comulada's daughter, had surgery when she was six. Beforehand, she was anxious and scared. She had a lot of questions that picture books and pre-surgical walkthroughs couldn't answer. This led Dr. Comulada to team up with Dr. Wagner, a pediatric surgeon, to create better ways to help pediatric patients mentally prepare for upcoming medical procedures and surgeries in hospitals and surgical centers.

Why Virtual Reality?

Virtual reality (VR) immerses us in new experiences and environments in a way that is not possible through 2D mediums like books and videos. VR gives patients a better opportunity to visualize and rehearse before upcoming medical procedures to reduce their anxiety and fear.
