Founders' story

Sophie, Dr. Comulada's daughter, had surgery when she was six. Beforehand, she was anxious and scared. She had a lot of questions that picture books, videos and other preparatory materials couldn't answer. This led Dr. Comulada to team up with Dr. Wagner, a pediatric surgeon, to create better ways to help pediatric patients mentally prepare for upcoming medical procedures, starting with surgery.

Why Virtual Reality?

Virtual reality (VR) immerses us in new experiences and environments in a way that is not possible through 2D mediums like books and videos. VR gives patients a better opportunity to visualize and rehearse before upcoming medical procedures.
